AuthorsAbstractRecognizing human resources as a valuable asset that significantly contributes to organizational success, competency mapping is the desired tool to categorize existing competencies of individuals within a community that helps identify opportunities to build on existing human resources for community transformation. This study employed a descriptive method using frequency and mean as the statistical tools with 128 respondents at Kiorao, Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines. Utilizing the competency skills assessment formulated by TESDA, results show that the competency with the highest proficiency level possessed by the residents of Kiorao, Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines, as perceived by the respondents, is on Barangay Health Services with a mean rating of 2.80 and a qualitative description as Proficient. When these competencies were grouped according to category, the group on Health and Wellness was identified to have the highest proficiency level of 2.22, which has a qualitative description as Basic. On entrepreneurial opportunities, Sari-Sari Store (grocery) was identified to have the highest potential for business, garnering a mean rating of 1.91 (moderate potential). When grouped according to category, Retail Services was identified to have the highest potential for business with a mean rating of 1.76, but with a qualitative description as “Moderate Potential”. Thus, a need for capacity enhancing intervention and availability of financial assistance for entrepreneurial endeavors.
