AuthorsAbstractCardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is the fundamental life-saving skill to save life during cardiac emergencies. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Traditional CPR Training and Artificial Intelligence (AI)Based Real-Time Feedback CPR Training in the program with adolescents. A quantitative quasi-experimental pretest post-test design was used with 250 students, with half being assigned to the Traditional CPR Training group (n = 125) and the other half to the AI-Based CPR Training group (n = 125). Pteintervention baseline assessment showed that both groups were comparable prior to the intervention. Structured questionnaire and CPR competency assessment tool were used to collect the data. The results showed that, both training methods showed significant increase in CPR knowledge, selfefficacy and practical competency (p < 0.001). The Traditional CPR Training group, however, performed much better on their post-test and long-term skill retention, compared to the AI group. The outcomes show the importance of hands-on experience, demonstrations and supervision in augmenting CPR learning outcomes. The study finds that Traditional CPR Training is a very effective method for enhancing the CPR competency and preparedness of adolescents.
